Eugene Civic Alliance
In 2015, Eugene Civic Alliance raised $4.1 million to purchase the historic 10-acre Civic Stadium site. They are now raising money to build a new sports and recreation complex. Civic Park will carry on the legacy of Civic Stadium by providing a space for the public to enjoy sports and recreation while also fostering economic development and improving access to gym and field space for kids.
The Challenge
Eugene Civic Alliance is a newly formed non-profit tasked with bringing the revitalization of the historic Civic Stadium to Eugene. This project is a mix of public and private funds and is one of the largest fundraising initiatives in the region focused on creating spaces that kids can access to help promote healthy lifestyle. While this project is beginning to get off the ground, ECA is challenged with meeting its over 40 million dollar fundraising goal that will bring a multi-use indoor field house and turf fields to the area.
The Solution
While this feels like a large ask to raise this amount a money, it is such an important project for our community. Our contribution through film is to bring recognition to the project and connect with the community and potential donors on an emotional level that will help drive fundraising efforts. By highlight the lack of current space for kids to play as well as the efforts provided by Leo, a 10 year old who has raised over $1,000, we’re able to showcase that anyone and everyone can and should be a part of this project and helping its success.

Why Civic Park? Why Now?
This is an opportunity for our generation to leave a legacy for our children and grandchildren. In 1938, the community united to build Civic Stadium and left an unforgettable gift to Eugene. Now, it’s our turn.
